Expensive Screening of Cheap Film

A private screening of Sebastian Gutierrez‘s Hotel Noir at Soho House on West Sunset Boulevard was attended by stars from the film including Carla Gugino, Kevin Connolly, Robert Forster along with writer-director Gutierrez. Alexis Bledel, Jamie Chung and Jena Malone also were there. The black-and-white film is set in 1958 Los Angeles and was shot on a $300,000 budget, which might actually have been enough money to make a decent film in 1958.
