As a model, Adam is often in a state of undress, so it’s important that he keeps his body in shape. “I don’t eat processed foods,” he said. “That’s very important to me.”

His secret to staying fit? “Have lots of sex!”

As for his diet: “I’m not as obsessed with organic as I am with unprocessed foods,” he said. “The problem with overly processed foods is that they contain too many chemicals, additives, salt, oils and sugar. On rare occasion I do eat cereals and cookies. It’s not so much what you eat, but more about the quantity. That said, I try to eat more unprocessed whole foods.”

Russo eats plenty of fruits, veggies, unsweetened Greek yogurt with fruit, nuts and honey, and he swears by the frozen prepared meals at Trader Joe’s.

“When I moved to LA I needed to get a bit bigger,” he said. “I actually gained 10 pounds of muscle. It’s a lot of work keeping it, because my body wants to go back to its original weight.”

To keep the weight, he drinks protein shakes.

“I like my body to be muscular, but not look like it’s steroid-induced,” he said. “Too much muscle can make you look older than you are.”

As for his workout, “I have a really good core routine, which is my 15-minute pre-workout,” he said. “Then I’ll focus on one particular part of my body; chest, back, arms, legs, etc. I’ll move heavy weight for four sets, about six to eight reps each. On occasion I’ll do a super set. You do need to switch it up every so often because the muscles get used to a certain routine.”

To add variety, he works out at 24 Hour Fitness in WeHo, Gold’s Gym in Hollywood and, on occasion, at the 24 Hour Fitness at the ArcLight plaza on Sunset Boulevard.
