WeShopWeHo.com, an online directory, went live today, providing local residents and visitors an easy way to find West Hollywood businesses and services.

WeShopWeHo.com also provides local businesses and service providers a way to speak directly to potential customers. The directory and its listings will be promoted 24/7 on WEHOville.com, the most highly trafficked website covering West Hollywood and environs. Both properties are owned by the West Hollywood Media Company.

“WeShopWeHo.com is our latest effort to help local merchants and professionals, who are the backbone of the West Hollywood economy, grow their business,” said Henry E. (Hank) Scott, president of West Hollywood Media Company. “Heretofore West Hollywood businesses have not had access to an advertising platform that targets West Hollywood residents and visitors and also is designed to reflect the quality and style that characterize our community.”

Scott said WeShopWeHo carries free listings for more than 800 local businesses in categories such as dining, nightlife, health and beauty, automotive, professional services, personal services, real estate, fitness and local travel resources.

For a small fee, merchants can enhance their listings with photographs or a logo, links to a Facebook or Twitter page, notices of special offers and coupons and detailed descriptions of the products and services they offer.

Scott said WeShopWeHo will stand out from other local directories because of the ability of WEHOville.com to drive traffic to it. Restaurant listings also will be posted on WEHOville’s Dining page, nightlife listings on its Nightlife page and medical services, beauty and fitness listings on its Health & Fitness page. According to Alexa.com, an internet analytics service owned by Amazon, WEHOville.com is by far the most highly trafficked website covering West Hollywood and adjacent areas. Scott said the site has attracted as many as 7,000 unique visitors a day. While WEHOville.com is not specifically aimed at a gay audience, Alexa.com statistics also show it far outranks FrontiersLA.com, the local gay website, in traffic in Los Angeles County.

Scott invited local merchants and service providers to visit WeShopWeHo.com and claim their listings. That will allow a business to update its content free of charge. There is no obligation to pay for an enhanced listing.

Businesses and service providers who do not fit in one of the pre-determined WeShopWeHo.com categories or subcategories are asked to email Support@WeShopWeHo.com to request inclusion.
