The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Traffic Services Detail will conduct a driving under the influence (DUI)/ driver’s license checkpoint on Fairfax Avenue just south of Santa Monica Boulevard this coming Friday.
The checkpoint will be conducted between the hours of 7 p.m. and 3 a.m. The goal of the checkpoint is to educate drivers about the dangers involved in driving while intoxicated or unlicensed and to take appropriate action against those operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, without a valid driver’s license or without wearing a seatbelt.
