The David Bohnett Foundation has awarded a $10,000 grant to Lambda Literary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing LGBTQ literature, to fund upgrades to its website, www.LambdaLiterary.org.
“The revamped site will include a sleeker design, improved navigation and new features to keep up with web advancements since our original launch in 2010,” said Lambda Literary director Tony Valenzuela in a press release.
Lambda Literary’s website attracts 50,000 readers each month and publishes more LGBTQ book reviews than any other publication in the world, according to the press release. The website also features calls for submission, literary resources and information about Lambda Literary’s programs for readers, writers and publishers.
“We are thrilled to support the important work of Lambda Literary,” said Michael Fleming, director of the David Bohnett Foundation. “They play a unique role in our community and we hope that our grant will spur others to join us in funding this essential organization.”
