The Pacific Design Center has lured four new showrooms, two from the La Cienega Design Quarter area, and is announcing the expansion or renovation of two more.
The new showrooms include Cygal Art Deco, which features the Peter Cygal Memory collection, inspired by the Art Deco period and the new Spring line Cordia. “We have already seen an improvement in our sales since relocating to PDC,” said Cygal partner Catrine Alexandra. “We are in the higher-section of the market, so it’s terrific that clients coming to PDC already know what they are looking for.” Cygal Art Deco moved from La Cienega Boulevard as will Holland & Sherry later this summer. Holland & Sherry are weavers and merchants of luxury fabrics.
The new space will feature Holland & Sherry’s core collection with expanded displays for products, including embroidery, rugs, leather, trims, wall cover hardware, lighting, furniture, accessories and outdoor. “We felt PDC was the best location to expand our showroom size and establish brand identity in Los Angeles,” said Craig Boelsen, Southern California territory manager.
Also moving into the PDC is J. Geiger Shading Technology. J Geiger provides modern window shading to architects, builders, developers and designers. Samuel & Sons plans to open it flagship showroom at the PDC in September. Samuel & Sons is a source for fine trimmings including tassels, borders, braids, gimp and fringes.
James Perse Furniture, an extension of the James Perse clothing line, has completed a remodeling and expansion at the PDC, nearly doubling its showroom occupancy. James Perse Furniture is sold exclusively at the James Perse Showroom at Pacific Design Center. Innovations will open its redesigned wall covering and textile showroom at the PDC in July.
