Update, July 7,7 a.m. The L.A. County Coroner’s Office has identified the woman whose body was found yesterday in a trash dumpster as Joie Kinney, 28, a West Hollywood resident.

Homicide detectives from the L.A. County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the discovery of a woman’s body in a garbage dumpster behind a building on Beverly Boulevard near Sherbourne.
The body was discovered just before noon today after Dana Cohn, who works in a nearby building, saw a suspicious man fleeing the scene and called the Sheriff’s station. The identity of the woman has not been determined and no further information is available at this time.
The building behind which the body was found used to house Dominick’s, the popular Italian restaurant, which closed last December.
Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500. It is very unfair of you to judge someone by what the internet says. It doesn’t show her rescuing pets from harm, or how she would put others before herself or any of the good. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say anything at all!
Joie was a wonderful person who would give everything she had for others. I dont know what a friken mugshots has to too with a person being disposed of in a dumpster. I have had numerous, and now have a masters in social services. Think Max, if it was your niece, sister or daughter. We are grieving so much; not to mention her mother. Perhaps you had a moment of brain freeze, but really think…how would you feel. Too Max…..

Max -Joie was my neice. She was a beautiful soul. Inside and out. She would have given the shirt off her back if someone was in need. So please enlighten me on what a mug shot ( which were alcohol related) has to do with the loss of life and someone’s body being tossed in a Dumpster like a price of garbage???? BTW I ha E a mugshot as I was fasely accused of something I did not do. So because you have a mugshot it is valid for something horrific to happen to you? Good thing you are not… Read more »

It was a murder and the police neglected to get the ID from which was found in the crime scene from the two individuals who first reported the Murder I turned it in under my friends behalf!!
