One person was injured in a two-story apartment fire Tuesday night in West Hollywood.
The flames were reported at 9:38 p.m. at 1234 N. Crescent Heights Blvd., between Santa Monica Boulevard and Fountain Avenue, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The blaze was knocked down in 36 minutes, according to a county fire dispatcher.
One person was taken to a hospital, but the dispatcher did not disclose the nature or the severity of the patient’s injuries. There was no immediate report of displacement of other residents.
The City of Los Angeles Fire Department assisted in battling the blaze, according to LAFD’s Amy Bastman.
If anyone knows what hospital the person was taken to, can they please let us know. He is a friend and a program presenter at our library and we would like to visit him.

The fire came from 1224 N Crescent Heights Blvd which is managed by Miller & Desatnik (http://www.mdrents.com/). I was in the building when the fire happened. Not a SINGLE fire alarm went off. If it wasn’t for people who came off the street into the courtyard screaming “your building is on fire” – we would have had no idea until the fire escalated.
Fire code violation, much?
