West Hollywood Relaxes Parking Enforcement for July 4th

parking metersCity Hall will be closed and drivers won’t have to pay to park in metered spaces on Wednesday, July 4.

In observance of Independence Day, the City of West Hollywood also won’t enforce peak hour towing restrictions or restrictions on parking for street sweeping. However, all permit parking and other regulations will be enforced.

The City Hall Automated Parking Garage will be closed, although the Kings Road Municipal Parking Structure and West Hollywood Park Municipal Parking Structure will be open on July 4th.

Visitor permits can be obtained at the Kings Road Municipal Parking Structure and West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station.

City Hall will reopen at 8 a.m. on Thursday and the city will resume enforcing all parking regulations that day.

Are the meters going to be programmed to let people know they don’t have to pay? In the past they haven’t been, and it makes it seem like those in charge wanted to profit off of people’s understandable ignorance.
