Only Two Vehicle Burglaries Reported Last Week in WeHo –a Major Decline

Last week was another one that was relatively light when it came to serious crime in West Hollywood. Only two vehicle burglaries were reported, a dramatic decline from the number in recent weeks that may reflect the impact of an arrest on Sept. 27 of a man and woman suspected of involvement in a large number of such burglaries.

The report below lists all serious crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station between Oct. 1 and 7.

Oct. 1

Grand Theft. 9200 block West Sunset Boulevard between noon and 2 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a wedding ring that was accidentally left inside an exam room by the victim. #06556

Residential Burglary. 1000 block Orange Grove between 7:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. An unknown suspect used force on the front door to gain entry and damaged a plant pot but did not take anything. #06537

Oct. 2

Grand Theft. 8500 block Melrose Avenue between 12:15 and 1:10 p.m. An unknown suspect removed a wallet from the victim’s purse while the purse was hanging on the back of a chair. #06552

Other Burglary. 8800 block Melrose Avenue at 3:20 a.m. Four men smashed a glass window to gain access and removed clothing items from display areas. #06548

Oct. 4

Residential Burglary (Suspects Arrested). 900 block Curson Avenue at 1:13 a.m. Two men removed a window screen to gain entry and ransacked the interior. Responding deputies located and arrested both suspects inside the residence. #06587

Oct. 5

Residential Burglary (Suspects Arrested). 1100 block Formosa Avenue at 8:15 a.m. Two men forced a window open and removed a screen to gain access to the residence. Responding deputies located and arrested both suspects inside the residence. #06604

Vehicle Burglary. 7500 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 7 and 9:30 p.m. An unknown suspect removed property from the trunk and center console. The vehicle was with a valet service when the incident occurred. No sign of forced entry. #06617

Oct. 6

Grand Theft. 600 block North Robertson Boulevard between 11 p.m. and midnight. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone, credit card, and cash from the victim’s purse while inside the club. #06662

Vehicle Burglary. Palm Avenue / Santa Monica Boulevard between 11:45 p.m. and 1:45 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the front passenger’s side window and removed property from the front seat. #06654

Oct. 7

Grand Theft. 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 1:20 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a cell phone from the victim’s pocket while inside the club. #06664
