Vehicle burglaries in West Hollywood have continued to decline, with only three reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station last week. Below is a complete list of Part 1 (serious) crimes reported to the West Hollywood Sheriff’s Station from Aug. 5 to Aug. 11. Aug. 5

Strong Arm Robbery/ 8800 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 12:35 a.m. A man was sitting on a sidewalk bench when the suspect approached him from behind and took his cell phone. The suspect then reached into the victim’s front pocket and removed $300 cash, ID, and credit cards. The victim was intoxicated when the incident occurred and had difficulty providing information. #05255

Aug. 6

Aggravated Assault – Hands, Fist, Feet (Suspect Arrested). 7600 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 5:08 p.m. A man attacked and beat a store employee after his debit card was declined. The suspect was arrested by responding deputies. #05278

Strong Arm Robbery. 8200 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 3:26 p.m. A man removed a lighter and an ice cream sandwich from a display area and left the store without payment. When confronted outside the store by an employee, the suspect threatened to shoot and kill the victim. The suspect was allowed to walk away. #05290

Vehicle Burglary (Suspect Arrested). 8600 block Santa Monica Boulevard at 10:45 p.m. A woman returned to her parked car and found the suspect sitting in the front passenger’s seat and rummaging through her glove box. The suspect ran from the area and was arrested by responding deputies. #05304

Aug. 7

Other Burglary. 1000 block Hancock Avenue at 4:15 a.m. An unknown suspect removed a mailbox unit from the lobby of the apartment complex. #05350

Aug. 8

Grand Theft. 8200 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 11 and 11:15 p.m. A man had his wallet taken by another man while talking outside the bar. #05378

Aug. 9

Vehicle Burglary. 8300 block West Rosewood Avenue between 10:30 p.m. and 9:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and ransacked the interior. The victim was unsure if anything was taken. #05391

Other Burglary

7100 block Santa Monica Boulevard between 11 p.m. and 7:45 a.m. A man gained entry to a secured parking garage and removed a vehicle key from an unlocked vehicle. #05413

Vehicle Burglary. Poinsettia Place / Santa Monica Boulevard between 2 and 7:30 a.m. An unknown suspect smashed the rear passenger’s side window and removed a backpack and purse from the front seat. #05388
