Los Angeles Police Seek Public’s Help to Identify Suspects in Fairfax District Robbery

The Los Angeles Police Department sought the public’s assistance Wednesday in identifying three men who assaulted a man and robbed him at gunpoint in the Fairfax district, just two blocks south of the West Hollywood border.

The men approached the man at about 1:40 p.m. Monday in the 7600 block of Melrose Avenue, near Stanley Avenue, while he was walking with his girlfriend after he dined at a nearby restaurant, police said.

The men assaulted the man and demanded his property, police said. One suspect pulled out a gun and took the man’s belongings, including a gold necklace before fleeing with the other two suspects in a red-four door sedan driven by a fourth man.

The three men who committed the assault are described as being between 20 and 30 years old. A description of the driver was not available.

Anyone with information on the robbery can call Wilshire Robbery Detective S. Azmy at 213-922-8229. Calls during non-business hours or on the weekends can be made to 877-527-3247.

Anonymous tips can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477 or submitted online at lacrimestoppers.org.

West Hollywood is so safe, I don’t understand why this is happening. We are all so kind and compassionate and Biden is now president. Why does this keep happening????? Defund the police already!!!!!!!!

No other physical description it seems these multiple robbery rings are still happening north of melrose and the Fairfax district into West Hollywood even with previous arrest. This is a criminal syndicate since this is occurring on a daily/weekly basis. I use to live on Romaine in Weho since the summer 2018 abd what forced me out is homeless were jumping into my yard and caught them looking into my window after midnight that was scary. You have had multiple cases of assault and robbery and these suspects go into these neighborhoods and have people have been ambushed been approached… Read more »

LAPD released additional information including pictures of the suspects and the car they used. If the publishers are serious about helping their community, they would publish the most current description:

So now we know they are black. Why was that description not included in this article?

If the range in age was apparent why was nothing else? Witnesses didn’t take notice of their race, height, hair color ….. NOTHING else?

I think a response to this question is called for.

It would be helpful to know a better description of the suspects. Are they White, Asian, Black, Latino?

Violent crime is up 93% YOY in LA. WH policing is very passive and they are not visible at all.

The city council is always focused on silly issues…..that usually are only important to small but vocal groups. Driving thru the city these days….feels like we’re in a third world country.
