President Joe Biden has ordered all United States flags to half-staff through April 6 as a sign of respect for the service and sacrifice of the victims of the attack at the United States Capitol on Friday. One US Capitol Police officer died and another was injured after a suspect rammed a vehicle into a police barricade outside the Capitol building in Washington, DC.

The City of West Hollywood has lowered the flags throughout the city.

Thanks James! I have inquired before about having a source for knowing why flags are flown at half-staff. A regular update here, or a source on the city website would help keep us informed on the underlying reason why the action was taken, especially in the increasing instances where it’s a local decision.
