Today’s Vibe …Coffee.
Lots of Coffee
This episode rounds out the final days of Asian-American Pacific Islander Heritage Month and it’s been a month of celebrations, advocacy, food and yes, coffee. Tracy & Maxine welcome Emerson Haro of Farm Cup coffee to the podcast to share his unique entrepreneurial journey with his partner Tony and his love affair with a certain 60’s French truck named Sunny. More on that later.
We eagerly await June 15 to determine what life here in Los Angeles (and WeHo) will look like as things continue to unfold. For those of you who don’t know, Tracy started this podcast to really share what was happening in the City with our favorite restaurants, hotels and small businesses. Lauren lent her point of view and knowledge of what was happening in the City and continues to make sure that their Instagram is full of daily deals and insider tips. Last on the mic was Maxine, who was the most COVID-conservative of the trio who has since been back on the scene as of March 13 – post vax.
Thank you to Nick and La Peer Hotel for hosting an intimate reception for previous WKWH guests, sponsors and supporters on May 23rd to celebrate one year of creating content and receiving an award from Mayor Lindsey Horvath. Guests were treated to chilled rosé on the patio and James Peter Henry opened his art-filled studio to the courtyard. That put a wrap on Season 1.

Fresh off a recent ribbon cutting and soft opening with Mayor Lindsey Horvath, Emerson takes a moment to chat about Farm House coffee, starting a business with his partner and tips on how to make that work and his ethical approach to opening a coffee business on the heels of the pandemic.
In 2017, founders Tony and Emerson took their very first trip as a couple to the Mayan Riviera in Mexico. While they were there, they passed by a VW camper outfitted as a mobile coffee shop. They didn’t pay too much attention to it at the time, but it planted the seed to what would become Farm Cup Coffee.
That’s a wrap! Make sure to follow the podcast on Apple edited by Tracy, read more at Maxine’s blog, and check out our Instagram curated by Lauren for daily deals and more. See you next week!
