Inc. Magazine names AvantStay the 6th fastest-growing private company in Los Angeles, the 27th fastest-growing private company in State of California and pulls the 332nd position on the Inc. 5000 Regionals. AvantStay has a 3-year growth rate of 1,411%.

The plan was simple. They would sign long term leases on luxury homes in resort areas and turn those properties into vacation rentals. In just four plus years this homegrown, West Hollywood-based company is now recognized as the premium rival to global brands such as Airbnb and VRBO.

I’ve had a front-row seat every step of the way. Four years ago, a young man Reuben Doetsch checked into my guesthouse Airbnb for an interview at the Pacific Design Center. He was here to meet Sean Breuner, the founder of AvantStay, who offered Reuben to become his co-founder. They shook hands, and Reuben extended his stay. We lived together for almost three years. Today the company they built together now has over 600 properties with sales over 100 million dollars and is in rapid-fire expansion around the globe.

Avantstay’s headquarters were stationed in the Pacific Design Center until recently.

The company was founded in 2017. In just four short years the company has become a major player in over 60 cities. The Los Angeles Business Journal noted the rapid expansion of AvantStay in a March 2021 Profile, “AvantStay Sets Sights on Rapid Expansion” -short term rental company plots International Growth.

Inc. Magazine: Catering to large groups looking to rent properties for getaways and events, short-term vacation rental platform AvantStay helps rent and host reservations in estates ranging from three to 10 or more bedrooms with extravagant amenities such as ranches with homes and backyard private beaches. Founded in 2017 by Reuben Doetsch and Sean Breunner, AvantStay employees can also help customers book experiences like attending a music festival or riding a hot air balloon in addition to booking a home.

Sean Breuner, who is the CEO of AvantStay, says of he and Doetsch, “We started the company because we love to travel and love this alternative accommodation space and started to realize that what was missing was the consistency of the product. Fundamentally the way people are traveling has changed, and we feel that one of the biggest friction points in the lifestyle travel industry is how do you bring groups together to have amazing experiences.”

Avanstay offers services such as grocery shopping so the fridge is set upon arrival. The company has a full in-house design team to turn every property they lease into an extravagant rental property.

Publishers Note: AvantStay was one of the first advertisers to support the new WEHOville. And, to my friend and three year housemate who moved out when Covid-hit. Reuben I am so proud of you. One day we can tell the story how you paid your rent in an I.O.U! Thank you for letting me participate and be part of your journey. You mean a lot to me buddy keep flying.
