Police Thursday confirmed that three men have been arrested in connection with the deaths of a model and her friend last month.
Christy Giles, a 24-year-old model and aspiring actress, and her friend Hilda Marcela Cabrales-Arzola were last seen at an apartment in the Pico- Robertson neighborhood before their bodies were dumped outside a Southern California Hospital in Culver City and a Kaiser Permanente West Los Angeles Hospital.
Giles was already dead when she was found outside the hospital on Nov. 13. Cabrales-Arzola, an architect, was in critical condition and her family took her off life support a day before her 27th birthday on Nov. 27.
Thursday morning, the Los Angeles Police Department identified the men who were arrested as:
● David Pearce, 37, pictured above, who was booked on suspicion of manslaughter, with bail set at $1 million.;
● Michael Ansbach, 47, who was booked on suspicion of accessory to manslaughter, with bail set at $100,000. Ansbach is a camera operator on Vanderpump Rules, Punk’d, The Amazing Race, Dancing With the Stars, Love & Hip Hop: New York and Famously Single; and
● Brandt Osborn, 42, booked on accessory to manslaughter, with bail set at $100,000. Los Angeles Police Department officers stormed the set of NCIS: Los Angeles near the corner of Hollywood Boulevard and Vine Street on Wednesday to arrest Osborn, a working actor. “‘I have had the craziest weekend of my life,'” the actor told a witness, according to Radar Online. “He told me how they’d partied, two girls came back to their place, and the girls had a bunch of drugs.”
“It is believed that both women were given drugs and overdosed at a residence in the 8600 block of Olympic Boulevard in the City of Los Angeles,” police said in a statement.
“West Bureau Homicide detectives responded and continue to investigate this case. Three suspects were identified and arrested with the assistance of the LAPD-FBI Fugitive Task Force and Metropolitan Division. Based on the investigation, the LAPD is concerned that there could be other victims in our community who could have been drugged by one or more of these men,” police said.
“This is an active and ongoing investigation,” police said. “The case against these three men will be presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney for filing consideration on Friday.”
Giles’ husband, Jan Cilliers, said earlier that police contacted him about the arrests on Wednesday.
“Even if they get charged to the fullest extent of the law, no amount of legal justice will bring back Christy and Hilda,“ Cilliers told Fox 11.
Cilliers had been quoted in previous published reports as saying video exists of three masked men dressed in black who pulled up to the hospital and pushed the model’s body out of a Toyota Prius without license plates.
Giles and Cabrales-Arzola exchanged text messages hours before they were found, appearing to have called an Uber to leave the apartment.
The women’s family members have claimed they were possibly drugged against their will at some point before they were found.
According to a toxicology report, heroin was found in Cabrales-Arzola’ system, KABC 7 reported.
The toxicology report on Giles’ body has not been released and her cause of death has been deferred.
These freaks are beyond EVIL. I believe they should be executed. A life for a life. Can the girls’ suffering even be imagined as they slowly became aware that they were in a dangerous situation? That these aren’t guys who were out for fun? That they were about to be murdered? And now the aftermath of a life of grief & immeasurable brokenness for the families of these young women? Let’s see how the showbiz guys can act in the death chambers!

The drugs are not as suprising as the audacity and smugness of the men who contrived and carried out this assault.. What disgusts me is not just their actions but their motives and the endgame they played by delivering these beautiful dead and dying young women to hospitals – a result of their “partying” with the drugs. What do you think these men had in mind when they ‘partied”? Casual chit chat? I dearly hope the post mortems on these victims included not only blood tests but rape kits.
That’s actually fairly common with junkies and overdoses, it doesn’t surprise me that actors and cameramen would do it.

The girls knew what they were doing very blame the guys. Sounds like they od’ the guys panicked.
Even IF the Women were fully consenting in the recreational use of illegal drugs at the men’s residence, they still have a “responsibility of reasonable care” for those Women they invited to partake in that activity. Their failure in this area appears to be outright criminal.

Sounds as if you have seen this before.
How do you know that they “knew what were they doing?” Or that they might have been on something already, impairing their judgment, or possibly dosed? Were you there, Debbie?
The grossest thing here was their dumb-ass attempts at cover-up. Even if the girls knew what they were ingesting, when someone dies in your place, you call 911. Or you rush them to the hospital, but you don’t dump them on the sidewalk.
My question for all this is who provided the drugs at the house party.The police will have to prove that the men involved provided the drugs that will make the case against the men stronger.
I think the men panicked and decided to dump the women. They were out of it and couldn’t think straight.Calling 911 was out of the picture. Of course,this was wrongheaded and there is video evidence showing them at the hospitals. Too bad these guys couldn’t have done this better.

All these other excuses and disagreements, Mr. Husain, are at the root of this Q&A that attempts to lay the blame on the dead women. I agree with your comments and appreciate them.
