FIRST LOOK: Gender-neutral restrooms at Plummer Park

The Public Facilities Commission recently got a sneak preview of the controversial gender-neutral restrooms slated for development at Plummer Park.

Some of the converted toilet stalls would feature ceiling-to-floor doors, which some in the community fear would contribute to the prostitution and public sex that have historically plagued the park.

On Tuesday, former WeHo City Councilmember warned the Public Safety Commission that the gender-neutral restrooms would become a “bordello for our prostitutes.”

Below are artists’ renderings of what the Plummer Park restrooms may look like. The staff report details the conversion of the restrooms accessible from the exterior of the community center, as well as those located within the building.

LOL at what a toilet those bath”rooms” will turn into. And LOL even more at all the women complaining at how disgusting the toilet seats are, and LOL even more how no one had the forsight for this. LOL at WeHo politicians in general and liberal democrats in specfic.

Is there going to be a toilet concierge that tidies up after folks so they don’t get marooned in puddles or slide off and break a hip? No one seems to have bothered about unintended consequences. What a deal!

Should we be laughing or crying 🙄

The totally incompetent City Attorney dismissed all these accident possiblities plus the possible legal action regarding rape, child molestation, drug sales etc.
This is the Unisex Sepi Shyne Memorial Toilet launching pad for the USA. A country without urinals. The only repercussion is “don’t lift the seat” and “be sure to drip, drip, drip…”

They’re not gender neutral bathrooms… They’re just bathrooms. Must the lowly bathroom be dragged into their hyper identity politics?

There are no urinals. Misandrist Sepi Shyne and the city council has outlawed urinals in West Hollywood public toilets. Great opportunity for homeless rapists, child molesters, robbers, drug sales. Unisex bathrooms/restrooms don’t have urinals. They have closets with a toilet. Men cram into a washroom area, then wait for a closet to urinate. This may prompt male anti-unisex activists to form a group called:#Don’t lift the seat!

Unisex toilets are a thing all over the world. You need to stop obsessing about toilets at your ripe old age of 81. It’s not healthy, Michael!

From the renderings it looks like everyone is in the same closed bathroom but with stalls that are floor to ceiling enclosed? I think that is a problem to have a common area with all genders. If the individual stalls all opened to the outside it wouldn’t be as big of an issue in my opinion.

We have a major safety and homeless issue but our city council is focused on all gender bathrooms and adding new colored stripes to our already rainbow sidewalks.

Apparently you weren’t living in West Hollywood years ago when problems plagued Plummer Park.

I hate to say it, but the nay sayers are correct. Past problems will repeat themselves. And new problems will most likely arise. The bathrooms are beautiful, but functional, safe and clean would have sufficed, been less costly and provided the necessary function. Sometimes being progressive in the wrong neighborhood – and Plummer Park is the wrong neighborhood for this- is asking for trouble. Lots of trouble.

On one hand, these are just like the toilet stalls in the UK, Japan, in an airport lounge or nicer office building, so what’s the big deal? No visibility in this location also makes me concerned for vulnerable people in this location. Crimes, such as assaults, tend to happen in locations where no one can see what’s happening. They should just demo the entire wall along the corridor if they’re going to do this.

When the problems come ..and they will, we know this…we can put full blame on the council and their woke agenda.

It’s called a Breach of Public Trust Lawsuit. It’s being looked into right now. The worst, for West Hollywood, is a class action lawsuit of all the citizens. They may not pay but the media attention and social outrage will destroy Seppi Shyne, Lindsey Horvath and John Erickson.

Not sitting on the council, that’s for sure. We made a HUGE error putting the likes of Horvath, Shyne & Erickson in those seats.
