An independent expenditure committee has formed to raise funds for Councilmember Lindsey Horvath as she campaigns to become County Supervisor.
The list of donors thus far to “Neighbors for Lindsey Horvath for Supervisor 2022” includes local developers, attorneys and big business figures. Total donations as of April 22 amount to $85,500.
Armen Yemenidjian donated $20,000 through Armenco Capital. Yemenidjian is president of Green Thumb Industries, a leading cannabis producer.
Arakelian Enteprises donated $10,000. The company owns Athens Services, which holds a West Hollywood contract to handle waste and recycling.
Attorney Richard Weintraub, who is linked to AFRIAT Consulting, a powerful firm involved with many major WeHo developments, donated $10,000.
Publicly available documents do not reveal the origins or members of the Neighbors for Lindsey Horvath for Supervisor 2022 committee. The committee is registered in Oakland, Calif. A phone number attached to the committee is linked to Natasha Middleton. Middleton has been involved in Bay-area political campaigns and ran unsuccessfully for Oakland City Council. She was a policy analyst for Oakland Mayor Libby Schaaf.
