Ever since local real estate brokerage The Collective opened in 2013, it has been actively supporting West Hollywood’s creative community.
Owner Anthony Vulin has been hosting quarterly art openings for local artists, with the help of one of their agents and art curator, Karen Numme.
“We understand it’s difficult for emerging artists to show their work, and we love offering our space to help them out,” Vulin said.
The Collective’s 20th art opening will highlight three artists. West Hollywood resident Joseph Moreno will be displaying his first photography show titled “Pretty Masculine”, along with Krikor Tchay’s large colorful abstract paintings and Devon Reiffer’s charcoal on canvas.
Along with the opportunity to view captivating art, the purpose of each event at the collective is to bring awareness and raise funds for meaningful issues.
“We usually hold a silent auction to help raise money for LGBTQ homeless youth, school art programs, and more,” Vulin said. The upcoming event will be raising money for the LGBTQ Real Estate Alliance, whose mission is to end LGBTQ+ discriminatory laws that still exist in half of the United States.
The upcoming opening will take place from 12-2PM Sunday, July 17, at The Collective Realty at 8278 1/2 Santa Monica Blvd. in West Hollywood. This event is free and open to the public. RSVP is required at www.thecollectiveRSVP.com
