Be careful on the roads, WeHovillagers! Traffic was brought to a standstill like never before at the intersection of La Cienega Blvd. and Santa Monica Blvd. on Sunday afternoon after a small coupe collided head-on with a pickup truck.

Sheriff’s deputies were on the scene speaking with four young females, likely the driver and passengers of one of the vehicles. No one appeared to have suffered major injuries, and no fault has been determined thus far.

That’s a terrible crash.

If only the new High Elevated Planters with the ability to move around to plan Heilman’s plans not just for his Elton John Party, but it appears other swanky events with no invites for any average residents of WeHo.

This should be the Swift KABOSCH ON THE SAN VICENTE PLANTER & SPECIAL ROAD RESURFACING.

Tough corner. That’s were the two British athletes were robbed at gunpoint by the two black guys. Who threatened to kill them. Earlier this year. Sheriff showed up right away. Block by Blockhead were probably sleeping in their kiosks. The two Brits said they would never return to LA or Weho.

I would hope the Sheriff got there quickly, it was literally outside their Office almost on their doorstep.

A very busy, dangerous intersection with cars routinely running the lights, blocking the intersection and trying to make illegal left turns.

That intersection is a nightmare. I live nearby & I’ve never seen such a troublesome intersection, in constant turmoil. It’s a huge intersection with people from all directions trying to make the lights, instead of slowing down, the intersection becomes crowded & blocked, there’s a lot of horn honking & people screaming at each other through their open windows. It’s a ridiculous situation that shouldn’t be happening. Very importantly & also neglected, there’s a ‘NO LEFT TURN” sign at that intersection for people traveling south on La Cienega, placed high in the sky & not noticeable under the best of… Read more »

Hello West Hollywood Transportation Dept. How about some attention to this debacle that would make WeHo streets safer.

That was somewhat of a hopeful but facetious comment. There must be extra requirements for city transportation staff to obtain antennae that would serve them in obtaining information about potential risks & hazards in WH. Also required expertise in anticipating same. Time to venture out of the silos. .

They’re focused on more important things like removing 2 lanes from Fountain.

I agree with you 100%.

However, this appears to have happened with the sedan going westbound on SMB, and the truck turning left onto La Cienega, going north.

It appears as though someone went through a red light.

You are making Woody’s case for him. It’s a very dangerous intersection. It’s too long a distance across that intersection & too long a walk across any of the crosswalks in it, to try & “make” the orange light & increasing the possibility of accidents like this & many others. But drivers do it, every day. The city powers that be generally ignore dangerous intersections & do nothing to mitigate the mounting traffic & speeding problems
