NEW RESTAURANTS: Wrapstar

A new fast-casual salad wrap eatery from Beverly Hills is coming to West Hollywood.

Wrapstar will move into 8593 Santa Monica Blvd., the former home of Cousins Maine Lobster, next to the Body Energy Club. The restaurant is also opening a new location in Culver City.

No opening date has been set.

Cousins Maine Lobster shuttered last summer in a wave of business closings that included Subway.

I just never understand how the Lobster Place stayed in business (and prob would had there been no COVID).

Nobody ever ate there,& given the afternoon sun, the thought of seafood/shell food in the heat kinda gave it a mental ‘yick’ factor

I wish WeHo would just sell out to every major chain like Larchmont did. Larchmont is such a pleasant area to hang out in and eat, have coffee, shop, etc.

I don’t think city’s sell out. Real estate owners rent their properties to people/companies that want and can afford. Locally based charged have been a bid send lately. Think Tender Greens, El polo loco, and now wrapstart. We should support them.

Tasty spot in BH. Good to see them fill this empty store. https://www.wrapstarla.com/menu/

Looks exactly like Chop Shop, which was down the street and closed last year. I hope this place makes it, it looks good. I miss the Chop Shop!

Wasn’t there a wrap place at that very location like 10 or 15 years ago? Everything old is new again. Unfortunately that little corner will never be the same now that Big Gay Starbucks is gone.

Excellent question. That will be the deciding factor for me.

I believe Cousins had only one bathroom, so they were ahead of the curve on gender neutral. Assume this place won’t add a bathroom.
