The Pendry, the swanky West Hollywood hotel that lights up the Sunset Strip with its coat of LED ribbons, has been named the third best hotel in the nation by U.S. News and World Report.

The hotel and its accompanying residential building opened in 2021. It features 149 luxury guestrooms; The Britely private membership club; a multi-purpose live entertainment venue; screening room; bowling alley; Spa Pendry; and a state-of-the-art fitness center.

A reservation at The Pendry for tonight is currently priced at $555.

Last summer, a condo at the residential Pendry sold for a record-breaking $21.5 million.

Each hotel’s place in the rankings takes into account the aggregate opinion of published travel experts and the overall customer satisfaction expressed in online guest reviews provided under license by TripAdvisor. The highest-ranking hotels are typically those that both experts and users recognize for their exceptional quality.

Travel recommendations from one of the dying legacy magazines is a joke. A top hotel does not have billboards all over it. Only in greedy tacky West Hollywood which has turned the sunset strip into a joke. It had some legacy but now it’s nothing but a billboard alley. And just look at the politicians we’ve had. They turned it into the sunset boulevard we now have. Would you stay in any hotel they recommended?

Abbe Land when a Council Member had a mighty tight relationship with the Pendry as it was progressing through the development phase. US News & World Report ceased to be published in 2010 but was never a first rate source.

Many if the old school posh hotels missing do not have guests who would post reviews on a trip advisor. This affects the results.

Penury is state of the art with views, pools, spas, Weho cannabis delivery all with our amazing weather we take for granted. But I think maybe they must have done a Ketamine drip

Please read the list of the top ten then ask yourself how in the world the Pendry even got on the list let alone “the top 10”. Must have taken some expensive arm twisting.

This has to be a joke ! U.S. News and World Report (and others) must have been in an altered state. I wonder if the Pendry influenced them in some way? And the Pendry is considered #3 for 2023 when it is only February 7th? Give me a break !!! I have looked at the U.S. News and World Report best hotels list for 2021, 2022 and 2023. I take great exception to these rankings. The iconic Carlyle in NYC is not on the list. And not a Four Seasons, Ritz-Carlton or similar is nowhere to be found. Plus great… Read more »
