D.A.’s Office is weighing sexual assault charges against Armie Hammer

The L.A. County District Attorney’s Office is reviewing claims of sexual assault against actor Armie Hammer. Tiffiny Blacknell, the office’s communications director, told CNN that “I can confirm that the LAPD has presented a case regarding Armie Hammer to the L.A. D.A. The matter is currently under review.”

Hammer has been under investigation for sexual assault since February 2021 when a woman named “Effie” accused him of rape. Effie, who spoke at a news conference with attorney Gloria Allred, said, “On April 24, 2017, Armie Hammer violently raped me for over four hours in Los Angeles, during which he repeatedly slammed my head against a wall, bruising my face. He also committed other acts of violence against me to which I did not consent.”

Hammer has denied any wrongdoing, stating in an interview with Air Mail, “Every single thing that I did with her was completely consensual. The stories being perpetuated in the media are a misguided attempt to present a one-sided narrative with the goal of tarnishing my reputation and hurting those closest to me.”

“I would scoop up these women, bring them into it — into this whirlwind of travel and sex and drugs and big emotions flying around — and then as soon as I was done, I’d just drop them off and move on to the next woman, leaving that woman feeling abandoned or used,” he said.

The DA’s office is currently reviewing the case, and Hammer’s attorney has not yet released a statement on the matter.

The Los Angeles District Attorney is perhaps one of the worst people ever elected office. A refugee from sad San Francisco. A totally incompetent pathetic dreary political hack. Just off the boat is my grandmother would say. What are the DA dregs turning major cities into crime-centered nightmares.
