Residents who live within 500 feet of 8001 Santa Monica Boulevard or 1105 North Laurel Avenue in West Hollywood, California, are invited to a neighborhood meeting at Plummer Park from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. today, April 25, to discuss a three new developments in the vicinity: a new, private, members-only cannabis club; a cannabis cafe open to the public, and; a modern Mediterranean restaurant featuring a lush rooftop lounge.
The project’s applicant submitted an entitlement application will meet with property owners and tenants to share information about the proposed project, answer questions, and directly connect with neighbors.
The proposed project will occupy one parcel, APN 5554-014-008, totaling approximately 12,439 square feet. The project would demolish two vacant, single-story buildings previously used for retail and institutional purposes, totaling approximately 6,062 square feet. The proposed project includes approximately 24,810 square feet of interior space and 12,089 square feet of terraced outdoor patio space. The building will be four stories tall with a subterranean parking garage.
The proposed restaurant will be located at 1105 North Laurel Avenue, while the proposed private cannabis club and public cannabis café will be located at 8001 Santa Monica Boulevard. Onsite cannabis consumption will only be permitted within the licensed cannabis consumption areas: the cannabis members-only club and cannabis cafe, located on the first two floors. Food preparation will be physically separated from all portions of the cannabis consumption areas. The Mediterranean restaurant, including its rooftop lounge and terraced patio, will be cannabis-free.
Members of the public who wish to comment are strongly encouraged to submit an E-Mail with their comments to the project representative: Mike Ai at Mike@Afriat.com or call (818) 450-2774. The project planner, Adrian Gallo, Associate Planner, can be reached at 323-848-6304 or email@example.com.
The proposed project is still in the early stages, and additional community meetings are expected to be held in the coming months. The neighborhood meeting was an opportunity for residents to learn more about the proposed project, express their concerns and opinions, and provide feedback to the project team.

Just what West Hollywood needs, not.
This city is failing and our local government is to blame.
So, another evolution of this previously decapitated, reroofed and repainted building. Apparently the current owners chose Cannabis as the best ingredient for healthy community environment over housing. Basta to the Children’s Day Care Center as they would not fit in. Hello to a Private Cannabis Club, Restaurant and Cannabis Cafe in the wonderful world of Oz. Wonder what impacts this will have on the French Market Place. Oh no! Faring is in the Cannabis Business as well in a major way. There goes the neighborhood!
Last I heard this is the Tocaya restaurant chain family who’s developing the property and opening this business
This will make Sepi happy, as more sales tax means the City can continue to pay Sepi’s management friend’s salaries at City Hall, that often are around $400,000 per year, including perks. That doesn’t include when they retire, we keep paying most of their salary until they drop dead. It’s unsustainable over time. Yet there’s not enough money for more Sheriffs around, to keep up with the crime Sepi’s policies continue to make worse.
Not within the parameters.
Wehoville, please explain and justify the ads you display about a concealed gun carry map.
we use google adsense, the ads that you see on your computer have to do your search and interests as measured by google, maybe you can explain why that concealed gun carry map is displayed on your computer. has everything to do with you and nothing to do with us.
A perfect response!
Not that he needed to give one. If someone doesn’t like anything about the site, let them move on.
Sorry Larry, but I have no interest nor have I searched for having an “All inclusive Wedding in Puerto Vallarta”
au contrar, – perhaps google recognizes your need for a vacation. ‘All inclusive’ one at that. or your preferences as ‘gay’ as PV is the gayest city in mexico. From here on out listen to what your computer is telling you!
I wish my computer would tell me to take a trip to Mexico, I’d listen. lol
You know what my computer is telling me Larry? It’s telling me to X out of PopUpville.
Agreed. But this site needs to make a profit. They certainly were an onslaught, and “adsense,” for me, is often “adnonsense.” But I think I can handle clicking the “X,” or scrolling forward, w/o making a big deal about it.
Not everything in life is free.
A true mystery to me, unless I tried to get information about the deadly AR-15 which is responsible for far too many killings. Enough with these truly senseless murders !
Please explain why Wehoville owes you an explanation or any justification. Free country. Don’t like the ads, don’t go to the website…very simple. But I see Larry took the time to respond. He’s a stand up guy.
I use Adblock Plus.
Well thank goodness! That 200 feet of Santa Monica Boulevard is woefully underserved by pot places- residents at this point have to renew their passports and go all the way West of Crescent Heights!
And a rooftop restaurant next to residential? Brilliant. Go ask the residents near Catch how much fun that is.
I mean, I don’t get it. Do people really smoke that much pot?!!!
I guess they do.
Why does it seem that we’re getting a lot more pot affiliated places than WeHo said were possible when they legalized it? Or is it just my imagination? We clamped down on smoking so we could all escape the health hazards and so we can breathe clean air and now you can’t go anywhere without the stench of pot.
I guess you never come to the East side of town. I don’t smell pot anywhere except at the dispensaries.
Well said. West Hollywood Stinks!
I don’t get it either. But the market will phase these out. There are too many, and instead of people complaining about it, just let it play out. Does anyone remember frozen yogurt, in the 80s? Besides me?
the race to the bottom continues.
Just what this city needs…more of this. 🙄
